  • Visit the Starbucks Career Hub to explore open roles in our locations  
    • Read the job descriptions carefully, they will outline what we’re looking for and what the role offers
    • Make sure to have job alerts turned on and profile details up to date
2. Apply Online
  • Once you find a role that fits you, click apply and start your application. Upload your recent resume to the Career Hub
    If applying for your first job, include relevant experience that highlights your skills and impact
    • Read the job descriptions carefully, they will outline what we’re looking for and what the role offers
    • Make sure to have job alerts turned on and profile details up to date
3. Stay Connected
  • After you apply, you will receive an email confirmation.
    • Check your application status through the Career Hub
    • If selected, a recruiter or coffeehouse leader will reach out to schedule next steps.s your skills and impact locations

Your Resume

Resumes are the first impression and tell your story. Here are top tips to make your resume standout.

  • Writing a powerful introductory headline instantly communicates who you are and the value you bring to an organization.
  • Highlight accomplishments and impact from previous roles, include metrics when possible—don’t just restate the job description.  Emphasize where you excel, influence, and advise.
  • Review the job posting and connect your experience to its priorities.
  • Include relevant experience that demonstrates your skills and impact.
  • Include Starbucks trainings (if you’re a partner!), certifications, school or utilize this area to highlight awards.
  • Use action verbs like led, optimized, launched, improved.  Quantify results when possible – numbers make an impact tangible.

Interview Prep
  • Reflect and review your strengths, opportunities, skill set and experience
  • Connect your skills to the role, reviewing the job description and the qualifications required
  • Develop a compelling introduction (who you are, experience, goals, value)
  • Familiarize yourself with behavioral-based interviewing and prepare examples reflecting competencies of the role
  • Review common questions and prepare examples for your impact
  • Prepare 3-5 thoughtful questions for the interviewer

After Your Interview
  • Send a thank you note within 48 hours to the recruiter to share with the hiring manager

How do I update my resume on the Career Hub?

Once logged into the Career Hub, click on your initials on the top right corner and then click “My Profile”. Look for the resume section and click the pencil icon. Here you can click “Upload New” to add a new resume in, remove past resumes or download ones you’ve added.

What is the best way to stay updated on open roles?

To stay updated on the latest career opportunities the ‘search jobs’ section is the best place to look. Once you’ve created a profile, you’ll be able to quickly apply for additional openings and set up job alerts. We also feature open positions on LinkedIn and Indeed, so we welcome you to visit and follow us to stay informed. If you would like to learn if your local Starbucks is hiring, it’s best to apply online first.

To set up job alerts, log in to the Career Hub and enter the job you are interested in applying for into the job search bar. If there are any open positions, they will appear in the search results. If there are none currently open, click on the “Create job alert” button and select the frequency to receive email alerts about any new job posting that match the search. With this completed, you will receive emailed job alerts for the location and role type you are interested in.
