Starbucks Global barista championship
We are committed to deepening our employees’ knowledge and passion for coffee. For more than a decade, employees around the world have been competing in regional competitions, as well as our first-ever Starbucks Global Barista Championship in 2025, celebrating world-class coffee craftsmanship, knowledge, and passion of baristas in our coffeehouses – it’s one of the many ways we’re making Starbucks the best job in retail, providing opportunities for partners to grow with us.

Origin Experience
Every year, select eligible Starbucks Coffee Masters from the U.S. and Canada go on a trip to our coffee farm in Costa Rica, Hacienda Alsacia. This two-day experience immerses them in the “first 10 feet of the coffee journey,” getting their hands dirty, planting and participating, growing their relationship with the beautiful process we call “bean to cup”.
